American Gambling Law in the U.S.
America loves to gamble! - But there are a few gambling laws that must be followed! Here is a current list of each state in the U.S.A. with legalized gambling along with what types of gambling is allowed in each state.
Alaska Casinos & Gambling - the state of Alaska doesn't have much in the way of casinos and it doesn't have a lottery either - but it's pushing hard for legal poker rooms - but for the hard core gambler you'll still find a few pull tab casinos. Arkansas Casinos & Gambling - Arkansas gambling is restricted currently to pari-mutuel facilities - a greyhound track in West Memphis and a horse track in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Arkansas is another of the nine states without a lottery. You will find home poker games if you look hard enough.
Arizona Casinos & Gambling - Arizona has embrased gambling warmly. Over twenty indian casino grace this state and you'll also find a lively pari-mutuel scene with over ten greyhound and horse track facilities. Arizona also has a state lottery.
California Casinos & Gambling - California is flush with casinos and gambling. Over 100 casinos and 100 cardrooms throughout the state. California also has pari-mutuel (dog / horse) betting and a thriving lottery. Besides Nevada, California has the most casinos of any U.S. state.
Connecticut Casinos & Gambling - Connecticut Casinos are few in number but large in size - Connecticut is home to Foxwoods Resort Casino - an Indian casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. The monster is 344,000 square feet has over 7,000 slot machines and 350+ table games including blackjack, Texas Hold'em, craps, roulette, pai gow and more. You will also find pari-mutuel facilities in CT, and Connecticut also has a state lottery.
Colorado Casinos & Gambling - Colorado legalized gambling casinos in 1991 and hasn't looked back since - you're stuck with a $5.00 max bet limit, although you can "double-down" and play multiple spots on the blackjack table.
